Hello from the Buckeye state!

Hi everyone! I have been browsing on this site for a very long time. I figured it was time to speak! I am three weeks post op today! I am very excited to start the mushies stage, I have been on liquids for almost a month. Every doctors plan is different it seems. Everyone on this site has great stories and ideas for recipes, hopefully I will be able to add my own at some point along my journey. My surgery couldn't have been better! I never had much pain and I am moving along just fine. Friends and family are surprised I am doing so well, I have to remind them that I am young and seem to have a pretty good pain tolerance. I have struggled most of my life with weight and last year decided this was the route to take. So far I am very happy with the decision, I feel better and have already lost about 30lbs in the last five weeks, some weight loss was from the pre-op diet. The last three weeks have been interesting getting used to how my body is reacting to things. I was terrified to sneeze. I have no problems sneezing, I was worried for nothing! I think allergy season has hit me today . Well, I am sure I will be around if anybody has any questions for me!

Hi Dani,

Congrats on making the decision to get your surgery. I am actually in the beginning phase of all this craziness. I just scheduled my first seminar to get the ball rolling. I wish you continued success with your new life and hope things go just as smoothly for me when the time arrives.

Best Wishes.
