Hey moreen - keep up the good work - it will pay off - I went on full liquids 9 days before my surgery because the doctor wanted me to lose about 10 lbs - well ended up by the 6 day I had lost 17 lbs. The rewards will be great believe me - I was banded on 9/24/08 - and have done great with it all. Yes my body is still adjusting with the lapband - my mind is getting in line with my stomach - and it has come a long ways.

Remember this will be a life change for you - but you will be ahead of the game when you have to be on the liquid diet part while you are healing - I know that is why it was easy for me - had I come off a regular diet right before surgery and then had to make all the adjustments - I think my body would have gone into complete melt down! lol

But keep up the good work and before you know it you will be band and working on the new you!

Good luck and peace!

Hi Moreen - my surgery is scheduled for 11/5 and I'm on the South Beach Diet for 2 weeks prior to surgery. I'm finding it hard to stay on this diet - but full liquid sounds even harder!! I am sick of eggs for breakfast - I'm finding that it hard to figure out what to eat, so I am not eating very much at all. I've actually been very dizzy the last two days - not sure if it's due to the reduction in calories - or if blood pressure is an issue. I am currently on blood pressure meds - could losing 10 pounds cause a reduction in blood pressure already? Maybe I need to modify my meds? Oh well - good luck to you and hope you lose the required pounds to go ahead with your surgery!

hi,

I am being banded on Nov 7th too. woohoo us. i am doing full liquid too. i have to do it for 3 weeks. I have already lost 11 lbs. you can do it. try freezing some crystal light in little ice cube trays. they have been my saving grace. gives me something to chew on. good luck you can do it
