I have finally been approved for surgery!!!!

Hi everyone! Well I finally did my psych evaluation and I past it. She send my results to my insurance company for her approval so they called me the next day and told me I was approved. Only thing is when I called my surgeons office they schedule my next step appointment for February 10. So I was very excited about it but I didnt know I would have to wait another three months just to meet with the nutritionist. Then I will get my surgery date. Guess patience is a everything. So have anyone else been going thru a 6 month process of just waiting months and months for appointments.

Hello and congrats on the approval! I have me the dietician and psych as well, both have approved. I am now to wait for the referral for the surgeon visit. I have chosen Dr. David Oliak, who are you going with? I chose him and actually had to switch PCP ( I am thankful for he is a great doctor) because I have an HMO. Which insurance do u have? Keep us updated!

  • 2 weeks later...

I went to Dr. Daoud at the begining of Oct. I ad my request for psych evaluation and the nutritional evaluation a week later, they both have been approved and submitted for approval to see the surgeon. The doc office told me that would take about 5 to 7 days and to call back next week. What happens next? Do I see the surgeon and schedule a date or are their more evaluations and tests that need to be passed and then those have to be submitted to insurance??? I keep getting a few different answers from Dr Daoud's office and Dr. Oliak's office. HELP!:D
