The best thing to do is to follow the eating plan your doctor or nutritionist has given you. For example, I was to eat 3 oz of tender chicken, turkey, fish or pork and 1/2 cup of veggies for supper during the soft foods stage. For lunch I'd have 1/2 cup of chicken or tuna salad with 6 crackers. I often felt like I could eat more, but when I really checked with myself, I found that I was no longer hungry after eating the recommended amounts. So, the *wanting* to eat more was just that - a want. And doing what I *wanted* regarding eating is what got me overweight to begin with.

I agree with Misty. Go with the recommendations from your doctor/dietitian. I measure my meals. I get my first fill tomorrow, so I now I can probably eat pretty normally. I measure and keep my meals, and stay between 1/2 to 1 cup, plus one snack. For satiety, I make my snack a protein snack, like Greek yogurt or tuna.
