Pain much later after eating

I get this pain under my left breast - on the rib cage about 2 hours after eating. I have been advanced to soft food and was banded on 9/22. No fills yet. Has anyone else had this? I follow the food plan and portions so I don't know what is causing it. Also - my surgeon wants me to lose 10-15 pounds in 3 weeks. I weighed 188 at my visit. I think that is too much too fast. Most diets say 1-2 pounds a week. What do you all think? Thanks.:wink2:

I get that occasionally; it's my port site. If I sit up very straight it goes away so apparently something in there is occasionally crowding my port. I don't know if that can be what's wrong w/you because I don't know where your port is etc but in any case, you are safest to ask your doc what it might be.

i get the same type of pain. I am only 6 days post op and it didn't start until yesterday. I think it is normal but best to check with the doc.

I had my banding done 9-23, then 3cc fill on 10-3, went out to dinner last friday ..ate soup and 2 oz of flaky fish, started to get the same pain you described. Did not think to much about it just thought the soup was rich and upset my new stomach. I went to work on saturday, in the am i was fine but as the day progressed sooooo did my pain. I ended up in the emergency room. I was admitted for four days with dehydration and kidney infection and kidney stone and pneumonia. Now the crazy thing is i drink at least 60 oz of water and then other liquids a day....I exercise with a trainer twice a week....how this happened they dont know....just be careful of pain that gets worse. By the tiime i went to the ED i had a 102.8 temp. Tallk to your doctor, and by the way my port is on the right side of my body

hope this helps
