New here... insurance question

I'm with Blue Cross/Blue Shield through General Motors. Anyone know if they cover this surgery? I'm really considering having this done; just beginning the research of information.

Thank you!

Call them up and ask. Seriously -- that's the best way of knowing whether your plan covers it or not. I thought it was going to be really difficult getting them to tell me that info (I have BC/BS of Minnesotta) but it took them 5 minutes to tell me over the phone and then they sent me a photocopy of the policy.

Now keep in mind that it's not only BC/BS but whether your employer paid for the rider.

I know it's stressful - but it's the only way you are going to know.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I have BC/BS of Louisiana and they do not cover it..Other BC/BS of different states will cover it. Just depends on what you have on coverage..Good Luck!

My husband works for Toyota w/ BC/BS PPO and they are paying for it. I have already been approved! I called them about six months ago and they told me they cover it if I meet the requirements. You should call and see!
