First Fill but only maintaining weight

I had my first fill on October 3rd and I feel very little restriction and have not lost any weight since then, but have not gained any either. I'm feeling a little discouraged. Anyone else out there had a slow start?

I'm a slow loser too. 10/16 will by my 3 month bandiversary and I've only lost 18 lbs. I stall for 2 sometimes 3 weeks and then I lose 3-5 lbs in one week then stall again.... Just keep the faith. I got my 4th fill today and still don't feel that "sweet spot" but I'm keeping the faith.

First fill usually does not make much of a difference. Depending on how aggressive your Dr. is you should notice a difference after the next couple of fills.

It seems like most of us do not see many results with the first fill. I rescheduled a second fill two weeks after my first (my surgeon does not make me wait). My second fill was better, I lost a lot of weight then the band got too loose so I rescheduled my third fill a week earlier. The same thing happened with my third fill, lost a lot of weight then the band got too loose so I rescheduled my fourth fill a week or more earlier. My fourth fill was one month ago. I go in today for my monthly fill visit. I have lost pretty consinstently since my last visit and feel pretty good most of the time so I am not sure whether I need a fill or not, I'll let the doctor help me determine that.

We all respond to fills differently so the doctor needs to take it slow to see what works best for you. It is a pain in the neck but it is necessary. Be patient and you will get there real soon.
