I am glad to be here. There is no support group in my area that I am aware of! I live near Annapolis, Maryland - if anyone out there knows of a close-by support group please let me know.

I was banded in 2002 by Dr. C. Ren at NYU. Have not been terrifically successful with weight loss, but am on a roll right now! No problems whatsoever following the surgery and it has been 6 years! Would love to talk to some "old:thumbup:sters"!

We're glad to have you. Have you posted this in the Maryland forum yet? Someone there is bound to know some good support groups or maybe be interested in starting one.

May I ask why you think it wasn' successful? I am considering having the procedure & would be devastated if it didn't work. I would really appreciate your thoughts..... Thanks!
