i am in your world now...

Hi fellow bandsters and soon to be bandsters! :)

After one year of jumping thru hoops i had my stomach shortened on 10/3/08! one week today... I have 5 nice scars that will most likely go away someday - i get my staples removed on Thursday... I had it done by Dr. Leland Cook at the Hickory Surgical Center in NC and do not regret it at all. omg the before and after care staff of this center was just excellent. the nurses who watched me overnight was terrific! I have not one complaint.

Today i had hoped to go out shopping (wally world for food n stuff) but what felt like a huge rock in my stomach kept me in bed. :tt2: so my husband had to go alone.. awww.

just wanted to let you know i am here now - My name is Diana and married to a wonderful man named Mark. I am 47. I have one 28 yo daughter and a few furbabies. I have been thru hell and back with cancer and stuff since 2004. so hospitals are my friend now. :tt2: Hopefully losing this flab will help with my ailments.

Is Leland Cook the same as James Cook? (they're both in Hickory, if not). I am going to get banded, but am still in search of a surgeon. Can you tell me about Dr Cook and his pre-op and post op instructions and any other information you may have for me? Thanks!
