holiday fill

I have 4cc's in my 12 cc band and about half of what I eat either gets stuck or leaves me feeling miserable. I cancelled my 3rd fill this month, but I have'nt been able to loose anymore weight. So I scheduled a fill for november so I wont be able to make a pig out of myself over the holidays. I am so impatiently waiting to see onederland and i'm 12 pounds away. I guess I just need to practice my chew chew chew chewing!!!

Yes indeedy! If you are already having trouble keeping (or getting) food down, then you probably don't need a fill. You certainly don't get fills to keep you from "pigging out". The fills serve to keep hunger at bay between sensible meals. On some things, like holiday goodies, you need to minimalize your exposure....maybe just snack a very little on the goodies, but stick to the healthy stuff for the most part.

So, maybe you do need a fill, if your band isn't keeping the hunger between meals at bay. But I wouldn't do it strictly because I was giving myself a pass from using some self control.

Drink something warm before you eat and that will help.

If things are getting stuck a lot than you might need to slow down or chew a little more, unless you are too tight and then maybe a slight unfill.

I was having trouble with this earlier in the year, then I realized that eventhough I thought I was chewing and eating slow enough, I wasn't. I am much better about it now.
