Surgery date: October 16, 2008!

Hi...I'm excited, frightened, nervous & dreaming like crazy! My mind is totally preoccupied with my impending date.

I keep dreaming that I awaken from my surgery & my family doesn't recognize me. I know it is just my subconcious & fear of the unknown.

I have a great support team in place & I'm ready for my big day.:)

WhooHooo and welcome! I know exactly how you feel...I've been banded for 2 1/2yrs, and have love the way I feel now. My biggest complaint is....I wish I had done it years ago!!! haha!!!

good luck, Joanie :))

Best of luck to you Debbie! It is normal to be a bit scared right now, this is a big life change but keep your eye on the big payoff at the end! Although your dream of waking up and your family not recognizing you may be a bit out there just know that down the road a bit it is very possible that people will not recognize you because of the changes the surgery will help you achieve! You are on your way to becoming a whole new you!! Think of it as "Debbie ~ The New & Improved Version!

Not long ago I went to a wedding shower with my daughter for her best friend since childhood, I sat talking with the bride's mother for 10 minutes and then later she said to my daughter "Who Is That?"

That was the moment I knew the surgery was a success!!
