A Little Help Please About Drinking

Well not that kind of drinking!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I have a canation instant Breakfast in the morning, not as my main breakfast, should I still wait another hour before I start the Water.

I will have cottage cheese later on in the morning and I know not to drink and hour before or after when I do this but I'm a little confused about the carnation instant breakfast.

TIA

During the post-op diet, my doctor says to wait before drinking additional liquids after protein shakes. Unless you're pretty restricted, I would think the shake would go straight through. I don't drink them that often now that I'm on regular foods, but I'd still wait. I want to hang on to any sense of fullness a shake might give me without watering it down, but that's just me. No scientific proof behind it, maybe it's just psychological.

I'm with Kiz on this one. I would think drinking water soon after your protein shake or carnation instant breakfast would simply wash it completely down before you ever get a chance to feel full.

I am usually too full after a Carnation breakfast shake to down too much water immediately afterward. Are you thirsty afterward, or are you just getting your daily water in? If you are just getting your water in, I would wait a bit (probably not a whole hour), before drinking water.
