CHange in body odor

I know this is a wierd question, but I am a week Post op(lost 40 lbssince starting pre surgery diet) and I dont know if it is a normal thing, or if it is from some kind of hormonsl thing, but my deodorant does not seem to be working as well. I am not saying I smell badd, but I am getting that end of a hard day at the office smell a little earlier and a little stronger. Maybe I am wierd, but I was just wonderin if this has happen to anyone else:bored:

  • Are you doing mostly protein? Ketosis and make you smell a little funky. Things should get back to normal once you start eating more normal.

Things should get back to normal once you start eating more normal.

Yup sounds like you are in Ketosis...this is why some people give in on the protein it can also cause you to have funky breath...and ummm "other" funky odors :confused:

This can happen for a variety of reasons. The cure is pretty simple. Buy 3 different brands of deodorant other than the type you are using now. Use a different one every day. I just put the one I use in the morning behind the other two so I can keep track. You'll notice a difference right away.

Hi there!!!!!

My body odor changed from hormones and has been 'odd' for a few years. I was hopeful that the band would balance my hormones and correct the weird body odor...and I am happy to report it already has changed.

Your body is going through many changes now...your hormones may be adjusting for a few months until all is settled.

Nothing to worry about. GOOD LUCK!!!

I have the same problem. I ask the Nurse at my surgeons office about it yesterday and it is from Ketosis. Our bodies are getting rid of all the toxins and it is making us "stink". Bad way to say it, but the only way to put it. She told me to use Secret platium and use some body spray and that should help. I haven't gotten the new DEO yet, but I already had some body spray, (well not body spray but um private area spray) and I have used that and it helps. So my advise is, Secret Platium and summers eve feminine spray ( i use island splash). Hopefully it will work for you as well.
