Well after a long haul I just recieved my surgery date. Oct. 17 at 1pm...real excited and real nervous. I was surprised that this was in and out..I thought I would have to spend the night. most support meetings were all bypasses so many questions were not answered. My surgery is being done in syracuse with Dr. simon. anyone here have him? thanks

I'm not a Syracusian and no Dr. Simon but congratulations! And ask away any questions. This place is generally a good one for tons of info! All surgeons are different and they all tweak the program their own way, but you can get a concensus!

Congrats on the date. I know how exciting it was when I got mine (Sept 30)I am from the hudson valley. So I cannot help you with the doctor information. Good luck, keep us posted.

nazzy I did It's pretty common to fast for the preop tests, and vital you fast before the surgery!

I think until midnite....none after you need to see what rules and regs your doc requires (for preop) and/or what your hospital or clinic requires for whatever tests your doc orders.
