Although I'm not new to the site (I've been "snooping" for quite some time now), this is officially my first post. I've learned so much from this website. I just received the call about my official surgery date today so I thought it appropriate to make my membership with LBT official as well. I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. My mother and I are going through this process together (HI MOM, cuz I know you're reading this) and I know it will bring us together in a way we hadn't discovered yet. She's always been a big part of my support system throughout my life and I cant' wait to return the favor after she gets her band too. This site is great and I'm glad I found it. How cool is that - to have a band buddy - and it's your mom!!! Having someone to share the ups and downs with is a special blessing. It's possible that each of you may have totally different experiences as no two people are the same. Be happy for each other's successes and try not to make it a competition. At times you will need need to be the cheerleader for each other. Best of luck and success to both of you!!!!
