Question

I need someone to give me some information about after surgery. How long does it take for someone to be able to lift 80 lbs after surgery. I would have to know for job purposes.

You'd need to ask your surgeon that one. That's a lot of weight! :)

I am a nurse and do alot of heavy lifting and pulling, I had a total of 3 weeks off from my surgeon.

It depends on your surgeon because mine said I have no weight restrictions because of the laprosopic procedure. If it was an open procedure it would have been 6 weeks restricted.

I agree with RM, check with your surgeon. I'm starting week 4 right now and I can lift 20 pounds but I can feel it... so I certainly wouldn't recommend 80 at this point and I can lift 80 pounds normally.
