My Doctor wants 64 grams. I told him I was getting about 50 and he said it was pretty good. He said protein is needed for the healing process. Good luck with your surgery!

This varies with docs...mine wanted 40-60 gms week or 2 after surgery. Now I have to have 60-90. Again, varies as well as if you're male or female and how much exercise you do.

Make sure you get at least 60-80 grams of protien each day. I am one of the 30% or so patients who has been losing my hair. I can see that it is regrowing, but I am still losing. EAT/DRINK YOUR PROTIEN.

wow 42 morning, 25 lunch, 42 night, what do you eat? I'm not banded yet, surgery set for November and I'm nervous about not knowing what I'm going to eat.

Now that I'm off the liquid stage, I'm not allowed to have shakes. I'm only allowed them the first 24 hours after a fill. Period. Solid protein only. so check with your doctor first.
