I am just starting the process and still looking for doctor to begin. I have made the decision to go for the band. Done alot of research and reading.. Hoping someone out there is from the SE WI area and can tell me which doctor you went with and if you had a good experience.. I have a good feel for Dr. Chua in Milwaukee. Hope to be in this group a long time.. I am soooo ready for this!!! thanks for any advice I can get.. :wink_smile:

After receiving a recommentation from a friend, I attended Dr. Chua's orientation last month. I decided to go through the process. I will be meeting with the psycho and nutionist in a few weeks and looking forward to starting this journey.

Hi, I'm so near you. I live in Wadsworth, IL, just south of you. I attended an orientation at Froedtert Hosp. in Milw. They were very informative there. But their fee was 35,000. I'm a self pay. Alexian Bros. Hospital (Elk Grove Village, IL) has a wonderful bariatric group. 16,500. My surgery is 11/6. Next week!!! How far along are you? blueyes

After I meet with the dietian and psych next week, I will have a better idea as to when I will be banded. I hope it won't be six months or more. I wish you the best with your upcoming surgery. Let me know how it goes. I'll be praying for you.

I found out today after meeting with the dietitian that I will see her monthly for 6months.
