Hello....New to the Group

Hi Everyone.....

I am Shannon, mommy of 3, wife to my wonderful hubby for almost 12 years. I live in Ca in the High Desert. I am a SAHM/Realtor.

I was banded in March o8 at 247lbs. I went through my insurance and was approved right away. I have UHC. I am 5' 4" and my BMI was 41+. I did pretty good for the most part. My surgeon was Dr S. Lyass and he was wonderful and continues to be.

So far today I am down to 200lbs. I feel guilty saying that this is with no added exercise to my daily routine. I need to and will start going to the gym very soon. I need the exercise now for sure. I know my weight loss could have been better had I been exercising all along.

Lately I have been having a lot of trouble eating. Actually even drinking. I get the "slimed" thing all the time. I am going in to see the Dr for maybe a slight unfill and also to make sure I do not have an obstruction or slippage. Wish me luck!!!

I look forward to learning and sharing with you all. Thanks to all that has read my ramblings...:cursing:

Hugs,

Shannon:biggrin2:

Good luck with going to the doctor. A very slight unfill may just do the trick for you.

You are doing wonderful at minus 47 at 5 months out. I didn't exercise at first either, but now I couldn't live without it. It only takes about two weeks to start a habit, and it relieves so much stress not to mention how good I feel afterward. It has also kept my weight loss going strong and steady after the initial honeymoon period . . . and I am almost at goal at 7 months out. I highly recommend it :0).

By the way, I saw your before and in progress banding pictures in the albums and you are looking absolutely beautiful :0).

wow, you are doing great!!! I have just started exercising as well, and it helps me to feel better :cursing: I am also going for an unfill tomorrow. I got my first fill just last week, but i haven't been able to eat since then. I hope i feel better after tomorrow!

Good luck to you :huh2: Keep up the good work!
