I'm at the "considering" stage of lap banding and am a bit anxious. My

back is terrible. There have been two spinal surgeries, that have left

me still in pain all the time. My hope is that if I can drop 40-50 pounds

that will relieve the weight on my back and knees. So now, the next step

is to consult my primary care physician for names of surgeons. I came to

this site, as the feedback from those who have already gone through it

seems really helpful.

Go for it. Try and not to be anxious. I know surgery is a big step, but down the line you will be happy you did and won't have the "what ifs." My daughter is scheduled and I can't be more happy for her. She is 31 and has never had a thin day in her life. She was even chubby as a child. "Just do it" as the Nike slogan says.

NYU medical weight loss center. I'm in NY and will be banded tomorrow. Having degenerative disc disease is what brought me here. Not being able to excersise because of my back is why I'm here. They have seminars and I can say, I have never had any doubts since I met these people. Here's the site, they accept many insurances.
