Hello everyone I am just starting the process and I am excited and nervous. My insurance covers the surgery and I meet with the Doctor in September. I am trying to read everything I can about this surgery. Nice to know that I am not alone in this journey. I cannot wait to get skinny and be able to keep up with my soon to be 4 year old.

Welcome!!! I am pretty new too. My surgery is scheduled for September 12. I live in Albuquerque New Mexico and am having the procedure done in Houston Texas. You are going to love this site. Actually it has gone very fast because I am paying for it and not using insurance. I went in for my initial consultation on August 13th and I will have it done Sept. 12th. I just finished day 4 of my pre-op diet.

Hellooo from a former Fredrick girl!! I lived there for 10 years and went to Hood College and then moved to Florida 12 years ago. I am new at this process too. I've been to the seminar and met with dietitian, med dr and the psych. Now I'm waiting on the next step. This site has been a great help to me. They bring up so many things that I haven't begun to think about. Good luck with your journey!

Hi! I'm new too. I saw the doc on 8/1 and have been going thru all the preop testing. I have one more test on Tues...stress test for cardio. Assuming all goes well, I hope to get a surgery date soon. I can't wait to do this and I'm glad there are so many others like you and me here for information and support. Hope to hear from you!
