Nana Mary

I am 4 weeks post-op. I had my surgery at Creighton Medical Center in Omaha, Ne. My surgeon, Dr. R. Sudan, is reputed to be the best in town. Unfortunately, he is leaving Omaha this month and moving to Rahleigh, NC area.

I have a very stubborn case of Fibromyalgia and have suffered with problem from it since 1994. However, my pain level is very manageable since my surgery. I went from 7-9 pain levels daily, to a 2-3 on most days. I am amazed - as are my family and friends. Several friends have commented that "Mary's back!"

I am only weighing myself every Tuesday. My first goal is 30 pounds and I will get my ears double pierced! Last Tuesday (July 29) I had lost 24 pounds!

I would like to get information from anyone who is or has knowledge of raw fruit/vegetable juicing, post-op. I was just reading about the benefits and learning from my niece how juicing could really change how I felt. She uses Protein powder in her juicing - so I thought it might work for me post-op, too. If anyone has that type of experience, please email me at: mary.jirsak@gmail.com.

I have had no problems. Everyday I feel better and notice physical changes in my ability to tolerate different activities. My depression is improving, also. I am so elated and feel so good about having made the decision for a Lap-band procedure.

I would be interested in other Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome individuals and their progress.

I am glad I stumbled upon this website and look forward to reading and hearing from others. I am very inexperienced in blogs, chats, etc. So, please let me know if I make any mistakes!
