Hi All,

I was banded 7/23/08 Dr. Strom in Glen Ridge New Jersey. I first want to say I am 54 years young and have NEVER had surgry and it wasn't that bad. I only needed meds the first day of course, then that was it. I did however get pneumoina:mad: and was very winded. All that is gone no. I went to the dr's office day 7 and had lost 8 pounds!:wink2:

I'm just looking for support.

Thanks for sharing that. I also have never had any type of surgery before. I have never even been in the hospital. I am in my mid forties so I am very nervous about everything. I am awaiting insurance approval. I should know something soon as it has been about 30 days since submitted for approval. Congrats on your band and thanks so much for telling about your surgery. It has made me feel better already. :wink2:

Kim you will be just fine! Oh, did I mention that I was to be at the hospital at 2:00 going into OR at 4...well, I did not get insurance approval until 1:30 who had time to think about it LOL
