sharp pain?

I suppose I will call the md today, just curious if anyone has had a very intense sharp pain when getting up or laying down, it is in the largest of the incisions and feels like I ripped something. Great. Very painful for a few seconds, then goes away.

When were you banded? I had pains like that and couldn't get out of bed unassisted for quite a few days because of it. I would definitely call your dr if it is really bad.

Yes, if the pain is troublesome definitely call your doctor. It would help to know when you were banded, I had various pains for about 1 1/2 -2 weeks which is normal. For the first few days, incision pain while changing positions is very normal. Port incision pain will be the worst and last the longest.

Yes, my pain feels like a burning sensation. It hangs around for about 5 seconds and them I'm fine. I thought I might have ripped something, but am not sure. I plan to call the doc on Monday. I hate that feeling and am scared about internal bleeding, although I have not see any new bruising which is a sign of internal bleeding.
