Hi, I'm new to the site and just thought I'd tell a bit about myself. I am 20 years old and from southern Minnesota. I am a full-time EMT for a small ambulance service. I am just starting my journey to the Lap Band and have my 1st doctors consult on Tuesday August 5th (a bit nervous to be honest) I have been to conventions and am super excited to get things moving along. I was nervous too, it is a bit of a journey from start to surgery but very much worth it.

WELCOME!!! I too am new, and just starting my journey. I just got my insurance approval Tuesday, and yesterday my surgery date. It's September 11th. I'm scared to death, now that it's come to reality that I am definitely having the surgery. I think I have all the same fears, 1. That I wont wake up and die, 2. That I will fail and gain it all back after all this. 3. That I'll lose all my hair and get malnutritioned. I have so many questions, and it's all freaking me out now. I think I read too many forums. LOL! Also, I'm in VA. Joy, what part of VA are you from?

I'm petrafied about all of it. I guess this is normal??:thumbdown:
