July 30, 200817 yr My surgery is scheduled for Sept. 4th. I'm 5'4 and 230lbs and I've been wondering if I will have very much loose skin after I lose the weight. I know its different for everyone, but I'd like some responses on other people's experiences with this.
July 31, 200817 yr my dr and nutritionist told me: 1. drink all your Water 2. take your Multivitamins 3. use a good moisturizer all over every day 4. do weight training (make sure you have muscles to give you nice shape as the fat goes) see this article for some interesting discussion on the subject The Myth of Loose Skin
July 31, 200817 yr Being tall, a BMI of 35 and just plain lucky (no stretchmarks or loose skin after 3 pregnancies) I got away with it *just*. I'm flabbier than I'd like to be and that is loose skin but I dont have oodles of hanging bits that have to be tucked in. Its 99.9% certain you will have some, its just what happens. But its not always terrible.
