Hi, my name is Laura and I just got home from my initial consultation and got my surgery date! I am very excited and nervous! My surgery will be Aug 27th. I am so happy to be making this first step to change my life. I have about 110lbs I would like to lose and I have tried so many times before just to gain it all back. I feel like this is my answer to getting it off and staying off! I hope to make lots of new friends and get lots of information from here!

A surgery date!! I am so happy for you! I saw my surgeon last Wednesday and I still don't have a date! I have cleared everything so far but my husband and I want to be banded together. He still needs to clear his psyc. eval. which is tomorrow. Hopefully we will be getting our date soon. Congrats to you! :glare:

Thanks! That is so great Pegs that you and your dh are doing it together! My dh is not real thrilled with me doing it, but he is going to support me.
