My soreness went away about a week after surgery. I am 4 and 1/2 weeks post op and still have alot of itching at all my incision sites. I also have had a reaction to the bandages they placed over my incisions after surgery and those spots are still bothering me. I hope it gets better for u soon.. Good luck on ur weight loss.

I was banded on July 2 and it took me a good 2 weeks before the soreness went away. As for the itching, I still have a little itching. My bandages have all been removed. I have been using some antibiotic ointment at night and it seems to help.

I felt a heck of a lot better about day 8. Everyone is different though. It will get a LOT better, and you will never look back on having taken care of yourself like this... and I am only 4 weeks out! I know I did the right thing!
