Any good salty post-op foods?

Ok- I'm sure you've all been there before, but any suggestions for a good salty liquid post-op? I'm still on my liquids for hte next 10 days and i am so sick of all the sweet drinks. I've had some broth and tomato Soup. Any ideas for something else?!

Thanks!

Can you have buttermilk or yoghurt?

You could do a Salty Lassi (an Indian yogurt drink with spices, lemon and salt)

Progresso (or is it Campbell's Selects?) chicken and Sausage Jambalaya Soup is really good. Edit: I went to the store and saw that it is actually called Progresso Chicken and Sausage Gumbo. SO good!

If you can't eat solids yet, then strain it first (or after you cook it). I added some broth to it so I could stretch it out more. It is a bit spicy, so if your stomach can't handle hot foods then I wouldn't try it, or add more broth.

Also good is the Campbell's Vegetable Beef Soup at Hand. It has tiny bits of meat and vegetables which of course you have to strain out or chew well.

I had french onion soup with the onions strained.....it tasted better than plain beef broth and I thought it was salty.

I took a can of V8, and added tabisco and salt and pepper to spice it up like a virgin bloody mary mix. I salt the ice.

I like those cambell's Soups that are for cooking:

PepperJack cheese, Nacho Cheese watered down and then I strain any bits out. It is the bomb.

My favorite was ordering wonton soup without the wonton from my fav chinese place.
