Thanks for posting something positive--it seems like everyone reads and replies to the negative posts. I get my first fill next Tuesday and it is really nice to hear that all went well. Thanks again. Raquel

I also got my first fill yesterday and it was painless. Less pain then even a flu shot. My doc had me lay down and do a stomach crunch to locate the port. He was going to put in 4cc (i have a 12cc band) but I asked for more since I've not had any problem eating, chewing, etc. He agreed but would not go more than 6cc on the first fill, which was fine. So doc injected 4cc and had me drink water...felt normal...everything fine. He left the needle in me, which felt weird. He then put another 1cc in...drank water...everything felt fine. Finally, he put in another 1cc (6cc total) and as soon as I took the first sip, I felt like I really needed to burp but couldn't. I feel good today, good restriction so far.

Talk to your doctor and work with him/her, so that you don't end up wasting your time going to and from the dr's office.
