reaching out for help
A little back ground on me before we start... I'm 29 now and had surgery back in ny may 21 2008. I lost a total of 133lbs in less then one year. My starting weight was 343 lbs. I moved to Washington state in aug 2009. I have no doctor out here bc they all want more then i can afford for 1st visit. i have gained about 40lbs back form aug to now . I'm in a deep depression bc i lost my father and now all i do is reach for food. So.... I need help. I need to get myself back on track. When I try I do well for about 2 days then its over. Im starting to save for a doctor as of my next paycheck but it will be easy a month or more before i can get in with one... and i cant just rely on the doctor for everything i know this... i gotta push myself. So i need to know how everyone copes with this. Maybe how others have jump started them selves again. Maybe even someone who i can email . Ill take any help.... Since i lost my father I lost alot of will. And the sad thing is I know he would not want this for me. He was so proud of my weight loss. please help.

I used to weight 343lbs now I'm 210lbs and i feel a lot better... I'm getting that I'm comfortable stage now ... but I'm still not happy. I know i can do better but... its like ... hard to get myself to push again after a year of going so hard core. ( yes i lost 133lbs in one year ) does this make any sence? Can anyone offer some support and help me get my butt moving? ~~Jessica

Dr. Carl Weiss - carl weiss
I had my band placed by doctor Carl Weiss may 21st 2008 and I have nothing to say but good things about him and his amazing team he works with. They are ALL very supportive and have truly given me my life back. I started at 343lbs and im now down to 218lbs. With this team of caring people you get support groups every Wednesday , a Nutritionists that's very easy to get a hold of and even an appointment with a Physical Therapists to start you off on easy but effective exercises. The surgeon Doctor Weiss is simply amazing and i suggest auburn for anyone who is looking to change there lives and work with a winning team. ~~Jessica

Need a little support....
My name is jessica and im 28 years old. I had the band back in may 21st 2008 and have lost around a total of 120lbs. I started out weighting at 343lbs . so with that info aside.... Im currently having some issues making the right choices with food. I have not lost alot of weight in the past 2 months and i tend to want to eat higher fat foods as of right now. I still work out between 2 to 4 days a week. and for the most part pick good foods until late at night. I work 2nd shift so when i get home is the hard time. Ill eat Breakfast around 11am - 1230pm and then lunch 545 pm and for dinner i do an optafast while i walk on the tredmill at work. Sometimes ill have a snack somewhere in the day. I have also picked up drinking coffee which adds calories due to the fact i like it very sweet and light. Im pretty sure i need to drop the coffee and try to get to bed earlier ( go to bed at 2-3am ) so i dont want to eat at night... but its just hard to do it sometimes. so im looking for some tips , advice or maybe someone to just yell at me hahaha. thanks ahead! ~~Jessica

one of those weeks? or falling of the band-wagon?
So a lil info.... got my band may 21st 2008 and have lost a total of 112lbs. I started out at 343 lbs. Almost a year from when i started with the program ( march 2008 started to diet for the needed weight loss before the band ). Now the issue.... Im having a hard time staying on track with the right choices for food. Now its not everyday... but its much more often then I was before . I can recall about 3 bad choices this week so far. Im craving cheese , chocolate and pasta... ( It could be my week for my peroid soon ). Im also working 2 jobs now so I cant get into the gym 5 days a week now. Im trying to get into the gym on weekends but its hard when im so tired from 2 jobs. So.... am I falling off the band-wagon or just having a hard time... Im so upset with myself and I just need some support I think. Anyone else been here? Where you give into some of ur cravings a lil too often? or cant hit the gym as much? I also think im stress eating due to a relationship from the past that might be coming back. Okay im rambling.... any advice? ~~Jessica

slimfast questions....

slimfast questions....
I need to lose 15lbs in 8 weeks with a program my job has with its gym. Now I do stay on top of my weight loss and work out... but what I want to do is make sure I lose the 15lbs or more so I can win this gym event . So..... Im thinking slimfast 2-3 times a day as needed and one meal that is very healthy will do the trick . Ill pair this up with working out 6-7 days a week as well. So what ya think? Anyone have any advice for my plan? ~~Thanks ahead! Jessica

who did it....
Okay so who else went off the normal diet due to the hoilday season? I have to say I have lost 105lbs since may 21st 2008 and I felt as long as I did not gain weight ( just maintained ) that it was okay to let loose and enjoy in small amounts the foods I like and have not really had since I went on this weight loss trip. Just wanted to see if i was alone... or if others gave into a short break. My plan to get back on track is a big salad I made tonight with lots of healthy stuff and some chicken for the Protein I need. I just plan to munch on that for lunches durning the week. And as always Im back in the gym 5 days a week. So am I alone? And if not... what are you doing to get back on track? ~~Jessica

hair dye anyone?
Thanks everyone!! :whatchutalkingabout ~~Jessica

hair dye anyone?
I heard ( cant remember where ) that you can not dye your hair for 1 year after surgery due to lack of protein in diet. I have the lap band back in may 2008 and my hair seems fine. So if I want to get some hi-lights.... I should be okay right? Thanks for the help! ~~Jessica :cursing:

Jump start....
So i hurt my back in the gym.... left an 8 year relationship and Im feeling a bit down. I have lost a total of 94 lbs but im kinda hitting a wall with all my issues. So anyone been here before and what did you do to get back on track? I have not fallen off totally but the poor choices are more tempting then ever since i have started the weight loss journay. Thanks ahead!! ~~Jessica
