Zantac

When I had my surgery my doc prescribed me zantac. I don't really take it anymore. But I know someone that had gastric bypass and has to take two pills daily to keep gas at bay.

Does anyones else take it on a regular basis? If so do you think it helps with the gas?

My doctor prescribed Zantac also, for 6 months after surgery. He says it prevents the occurrence of stomach ulcers. Not sure what happens after 6 months??

I'm on omeprazole (aka Prilosec) daily for 6 months as well to stave off stomach ulcers.

He prescribed your ranitidine for a reason, don't second-guess the doc. Find a store brand if money is an issue.

Zantac for gas? Isnt it heartburn/reflux medication. It is here, I fairly lived on the stuff during my third pregnancy, that and 500ml of Gaviscon per day!
