please help!

Hi I just found this site today and I'm hoping someone out there can help me. I had my surgery in March. I had one fill at 6 weeks and another fill a month ago. Starting Wednesday of this past week, I can't keep anything down. I'm even throwing up saliva. I've also got incredible gas (burping) and lots of back and shoulder pain. What's happening???:scared2:

Sounds like you are over filled. Have you called your dr's office? Are you able to keep water down?

Did something trigger this on Wednesday like vomiting perhaps? I am concerned about the possibility of slippage as well. Call your doctor as soon as possible because this could be an emergency.

In the mean time, until you are seen by a doctor, I would suggest you stay on Clear liquids altogether and nothing else. If there is a possibility that you had a pb'ing episode that has caused stomach irritation which keeps causing additional pb'ing, or if you have had some slippage you don't want to make it worse by not giving your stomach a rest.

If you can not even get fluids down and are continuously having problems with your own saliva since last Wednesday, you may need to go to the emergency room.

Please let us know how you are doing or how things work out. I really hope it is just stomach irritation and maybe you might just need a temporary unfill. Best of luck to you.

Amysoc...you should be evaluated right away. If you have not been able to keep anything down since last Wednesday, you have to be dehydrated. At this point, the only way to rehydrate is with IV fluids. My advise (not that I am a doctor but I am an RN) is that you go to the nearest ER. I will keep you in my prayers. God Bless and keep us posted.

YEP YEP,, i agree with the above post. Call your Doctor and head to the nearest quick care or ER to get evaluated for dehydration. That is serious stuff.

Everyone here is right. I hope everything turns out well for you. If you want to join a group on this board you might want to look into the "Shrinking Shamrocks." We are a group that all got banded in March 08. All you have to do is look down the board and find the monthly groups then follow the links to March 2008 and we are there. We welcome all who have been banded in March 08.
