Well I finally am at peace with my decision. When talking to the young lady she began to address my fears and explain things very calmly and clearly. I guess I just needed reassurance.

I left out the office knowing that this is going to be a good thing in the long run but everything good usually takes effort...

So come August 1st I will be banded and ready to start my new life...

Also I would like a buddy I would like one close by but however I will love email buddies too this will give me the support of someone knowing how I feel... Kinda like AA for bandsters.

I totally know what your going through. So many things have come and and things with the money for it to not thinking I can succeed to not waking up from the surery that I have been driving myself crazy. I get my surgery July 30th and my pre-op appointment is tomorrow. Hopefully I can get the reassurance along with you, but it got to the point where I broke down last night and just balled telling my mom I would rather just be fat LoL! I know I am only 21 but if you ever wanna chat don't hesitate to send me a message!

the pre op i had on tuesday really reassured me, especially as it was that morning it finally hit me, what i was doing. i am now really excited and cant wait for august 1st. as we are on the same day, i will be very willing to be email buddies.

I'm probably having the procedure in October of this year. Just reading some of the stories on here have eased my tensions about it.
