Hi,

I am new to this site and I had my surgery June 16th. I am still a little tender at my port site. Is it normal to still be tender in this area? I have not yet been able to sleep on my stomach. I have a couple more weeks of mushy foods. Looking for some good recipes!

Yeah that is normal. Everyone heals different but I have heard alot of people a few weeks out saying they are tender.

Good luck !

I was banded on June 27th and my port site is very tender and sore and still slightly swollen and sticks out - I think this tenderness lasts for a few weeks because the port has to "settle" in your muscle and fluid that has accumulated around it has to be absorbed by the body - I take a couple of Alleve before bed time and sleep on my right side -
