fill. unfill update, too tight.

posted a couple weeks ago about maybe being too full.

First off would like to say being overfilled sucks I mean really sucks you are tired and hungry and thirsty but cant do anything about it.

well I was. I couldnt keep down liquids at all. I tried to stick it out for about 48 hours but it didnt get any better. SO I went back to the dr and we agreed that since I had been getting sick so much and I had lost about 6 lbs in two days we would just take out all the Fluid for about a week then we would go back and put what I had before the fill that was too tight (which was 5 cc's when he put it up to 5.5 cc's thats when I couldnt keep anything down)

anyways so I go back and he puts back in the 5cc's and immediately I could feel this burning in my throat. I went ahead and took a drink of Water and knew right away it was too much. he told me to lie down so he could take some out bring me down to 4.75 ccs. well as soon as I laid down that drink of water wanted to come up but I was embarassed to throw up in front of the dr so I just held it. He left the room and I sat up looked around for somewhere I could get rid of it but there was no where in the room. I had to go outside to the restroom.

SO, the water came back up with all the slimey stuff and everything you know the gross stuff. and I went back into the waiting room. I thought well maybe since I got rid of that first drink from the fill and he took some out it will be better..

it wasnt I could still feel that tightness in my chest I took a very very very very very small sip of water and knew immediately I was still too tight.

right then the nurse stuck her head in and asked if I was OK? I said no and said I think he (the dr) will need to take out some more fluid.

He came in and took out a little more and I waited but it was still too tight!!!

So He took some more out I am down to about 3.00 cc's now and that was good.

I asked him why if I wasnt able to go back to 5cc's and he said my tissue around the band had probably swollen he said it happens all the time when people get overfilled they cant go right back to where they were and not to feel bad.

I hear ya...I had to have a total unfill in the ER cuz not only was something stuck but the GERD (reflux disease) gave me esophagitis and everything was swollen. It was very upsetting. I'm very frustrated cuz I can't have a another fill for a few weeks and I'm really hungry. But I want to start over and not be so tight. That sliming and puking was gross!! They want the swelling to go down first so my Prevacid was doubled and I have to wait....it sux!!! :tt2:

5 c.c. sounds like a lot. I had my 3rd fill on Wends. and now I am at 2.5 cc and it's pretty tight. I have to chew my food soooo much it makes it almost not worth eating, lol. I PB alot more now and even throw up if I eat to fast or wrong stuff (chicken mainly). Glad you are feeling better

goofygirl~ hang in there.
