Newbie from NJ

Hello all -

My name is Julie - I was banded on 4/8/08 by Dr. Ewing (Hackensack, NJ) - staff not the greatest - but he's very cool. I actually had a revision done - I originally had the gastric bypass March of 2004 - went from 350 to about 170 - got preggers & never lost the baby weight - when I was banded I was 240 - now Im only down to 222 - I cannot break that mark. So far I have 4cc (is that correct 4cc's not too sure) of saline in me - and personally I do not think its enough - I pretty much can have anythign if I eat slow enough - I'm starting to feel maybe this was a mistake and my destiny is to be 350lbs all over again. :frown:

I mean I kninda know what Im doing wrong -I am a BAD snacker - I love any kind of carbs - and it totally kills me - pretzels are my weakness. I dont know - I think I just need to be around others who are like me - who have had this done. My hubby is wonderful - but just doesnt get IT - hes like 6 ft - 190 lbs - can eat a whole cow & poop it out in 15 min - so if I don't eat what he thinks is "enough" - he keeps piling up my plate - I mean - i am like a dog - you put food in front of me -its gone in 6 seconds flat - - but I need to be a winner at this - I did so well the 1st time - and once I had the baby I just couldn't (can't) get back on track - anyway - thats my little story! I'll be posting - hope to me you all!! :) Julie

You'll get a lot of support here. I've heard really good things about Dr. Ewing. I was researching him, but insurance dictates that I see Dr. Nussbaum at St. Barnabas.

From what I've read here...it might take a bit to get the right restriction. Remember...18 lbs is wonderful!
