Hi! Newbie has question

Hi,

I had my band surgery 6 days ago and this morning I woke up with a weird feeling of pressure at the back of my throat (not my stomach). It feels a little like I'm being strangled (not that dramatic, just pressure). I wasn't able to take deep breaths for a few days after the surgery and that went away; now it just FEELS like I won't be able to breathe. I drank an Odwalla Protein Drink yesterday rather than the whey-based ones I used before. Have I screwed myself up? Does anyone know what the problem might be? I also tripped last night and fell against the bed; could that have anything to do with it?

Hello!

I had the same issue. (banded June 10) I figured it was from the tubes put in during surgery. It went away in a few days. If you are concerned, call your doctor!

Good Luck!

Stacey

HI, I was banded 6/23 and I had the same breathing concerns--hard to catch my breath for a couple days but it has stopped. I didn't have the throat issue. I would call and ask your doctor-it can't hurt. Hopefully it is just a passing thing. Good Luck
