cheryl

Hi! my name is cheryl and I am scheduled for lapband surgery on July 2nd. I am in my 2nd day of my preop liquid diet and having a tough time of it. I am currently 308.6 pounds and I really don't have a goal in mind just to get healthier and lose along the way. I would love to hear from people who had to do the liquid diet with encouragement or just whatever. thanks, cheryl:rolleyes2::rolleyes2:

Hi Cheryl:

I am on Day 10 of Pre-Op liquid diet. It was very hard for me as well when I began. I was having headaches, light headedness and nausea, but it does get easier as the days go on. For me, once I got over the caffeine and carb withdrawals it was easier. Now, I'm not saying that it's not a struggle every day because it is, but what I am saying is that it does get easier.

I make sure I drink my Protein between meals which helps and I am constantly drinking Water.

Just keep thinking positive and you will make it.

Hi Cheryl. I am on my 4th day of the pre-op diet. I get a Protein shake for Breakfast and lunch, 4 oz lean meat for dinner with veggies and that's it. I have also been drinking about 60-70oz of Water a day in between meals, sometimes plain water and sometimes protein water. It was very hard the first day, but it's getting a little easier. Today is the first day I've had a headache and I was also nauseated after my shake this am. It's probably carb withdrawal. I haven't had any caffeine since March, so that's not it. The upside of it all is that I've lost 8 pounds since Monday!

You can do this. I just went in with the mindset that I can do anything for 2 weeks. My surgery is on the 30th and I think that doing this pre-op diet will help me to get into the mindset to do the post-op liquids only phase. Just think of the results you're getting and know that it will all be worth it in the end. :rolleyes2:

i know how you feel im also on my preop my surgery is the 30th also and i feel so crappy but it will be worth it ive lost 5 pounds since monday im on day 4
