I finally got my approval this week!

Hi Orea

I'm getting my band 4th July! I'm counting down the days. It cant come quick enuf! I'll be honest, my eating has been dreadful this last week since I decided to go ahead with it, I think in the back of my mind I'm thinking 'make the most of it coz after 4th July thats it!' Not very sensible and I need to get a grip or I'll be a stone heavier by then. How are you coping with it all?

So far, since I heard on Monday, I've gone through:

• stunned disbelief
  
• nervous stomach -- hard to find something I really want to eat
  
• I'm losing weight well on my own, do I really need to do this?
  
• Ordered a pizza for dinner and demolished half of it. (In all fairness, after three days of really light eating, I was famished.)
  
• Decided from the pizza episode that yes I do need the band! LOL
  
• Comfortable feeling that this is the right path for me.
  
• Wondering what I have to do next to get ready. I won't know until the 23rd.

its like waiting forever for Christmas day to arrive when you're a child! I think the next 3 weeks are going to be long ones!!

Dr. Halmi said I dont need to do the pre-op diet since I am 100lbs over. But I have been trying to train my mind to eat less. I will be drinking the EAS Advant shakes 2 weeks prior to surgery to wean myself away from solid food.
