going in tomorrow morning at 6:30 a.m. for the surgery. What is best to eat for the first week? I need to go stock up on this today. I have Any Whey protein powder to add to my drink. Thanks.

I couldnt find any commercial chicken/beef broths that didnt taste like crap, so I bought the store out of Campbell's Won-Ton Soup - which I strain thru a strainer to get it down to just chicken broth.

The biggest problem for me is Protein. My doc doesnt permit Protein shakes for 3 weeks, and the clear liquid Protein drinks all taste horrendous even though they look pretty.

BrownieUNC, have you tried the Isopure protein drinks? I am 3 days post op and my meal plan this week includes 3 tablespoons of isopure at "dinner". I am very taste/gag sensitive but I have not had a problem with sips of the Isopure. Right now I am drinking the frosty grape. There are several flavors.
