Hi my name is John and my wife and I are planning on having the Realize Banding. I will be having the banding first , then a few months later my wife will have hers done. I'm at the point now where all the paperwork is fixing to go to the insurance company to be approved so I'm crossing my fingers and toes that everything goes o.k., I have been overweight all my life and I had gotten up to 580 lbs. three years ago and I lost 90 on my own and now I'm 490 lbs. and I can't seem to lose anymore on my own so I can't wait to get my lapband and start toward having a healthier body.

Good Luck John and to your wife as well. I just had my band done on 5/07/08, So far so good!!!! The initial deit is tough. I think it would be good for you and your wife to go at different times, theat way one or the other can see what is to come for them. Good luck, Hope all goes well for you all.
