HELP! Stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Been having great lap band experience and weight loss of about 3 lbs a week thus far. Two weeks ago, got 2nd fill. My doc has issues locating my port, usually digs around with a needle for about 35 minutes, lots of poking and such, making fills a pain and an annoyance.

The issue is that since 2nd fill, i've been having the worst of both worlds. Weight loss has stopped. I can still eat just as much as before this fill, I still get hungry. Basically, the only thing this fill has done to assist me is keep me full longer. The downsides are: constant pain swallowing and when I wait too long to eat. My chest/center of back between shoulder blades are always sore when I swallow and during the 1-2 hours of digestion....it's this gassy, burpy sensation but I can't burp, just feel the air rolling up my center and then stopping at the band, creating a horrible, painful pinch, that comes and goes, like a contraction. I grimace, have to grab something, etc. Taking constant Gas-X strips only helps a little bit.

So please please pretty please, i need you out there. Obviously I need another fill to get at least some restriction and resume weight loss. But this pressure and pain is getting old. I would love some input, some stories, ANYTHING. This is the first negative thing to happen since banding and I don't want my outlook to go south.

I would call the doctor. I have never heard of this. I have talked to a lot of bandsters and nobody ever descibes what you are talking about.

Pain between your back and shoulder blades just doesn't sound right.

Whether or not you need a fill seems like a separate issue. Talk to your dr. about this!
