i am also getting banded tomorrow and i feel the EXACT same way. I was so psyched for the past couple of weeks and now i'm terrified. I know that i will be fine i just can't wait for it all to be over so i can start with my new life. Good luck to you and i will keep you in my prayers:smile:

nice. i was where both of you are at 2 days ago.

my band got put in yesterday @ 6am. everything went well, i never felt anything during or shortly after the procedure.

i will say, be prepared for the gas pains. if i'm chillin in my chair not moving, it's ok. but i walked today for 30+ minutes. and i was in a lot of pain. it felt like the feeling you have when you have bronchitis (you know when you cough). but it feels like that all the time. pain meds help, but don't knock out the pain. i guess its only a few days of the gas pain.

walk alot.

you'll both be fine!!!

thanks so much for the well wishes, believe me you will get here soon enough i feel like just a few weeks ago i went to my seminar and now i'm 11 hours from surgery!! Good luck to you when you get yours!!

My husband had a lot of pain for a week after surgery in his shoulder from the gas they use to blow you up. As soon as he started taking the tums it went away. Good luck with the surgeries.

The best of luck to the both of you. I will be hear before you know it. I won't lie expect some pain and discomfort. I will say this, it goes away pretty quickly. Take your pain meds. I was banded on fri April 11,08 I'm so happy with my decision so far. My weight loss thus far is 23lbs. just do what the doctor tells you to do and you'll be fine.

I just took my "before" pictures. Now I am heading to the hospital. I am having surgery at 10am (pacific time). Send positive thoughts my way! :)
