Finally approved!

After waiting for 8 months, I finally have approval from my insurance company. Now... I have to lose the weight I've gained over the long depressing winter before I can have the surgery! I need some tips on safely losing 5-10 lbs quickly. I am a failure at losing weight so far and need some advice.

Thanks,

bonbon

Well first off I would definately try cleaning out your colon.. by taking psyllium husk Fiber 500mg at least 2 2x's a day... and drink.. 2 protien shakes and having 1 meal a day... and u will drop the weight pretty quick... if u do this plz let me know how it works... also make sure that u drink plenty of Water and or crystal lyte......:tongue_smilie:

Low Carb! It's questionable on how safe this diet is for you long-term. But if you follow the strict 2 week phase of the Atkins diet, you could lose 10-14 lbs. I have done this in the past.

Congratulations on your approval!!

I agree that low carb works to drop pounds quickly. I have done many times. I have done the 2 week induction (Atkins) before and lost about 15 pounds. Good luck to you!!

Congrats on the approval. I am a firm believer in the protein shakes for pre-op weight loss. I had 2 shakes per day and a very small meal and had no problem losing the required weight. Just be sure to use the low carb protein shakes, not the muscle building ones. I prefer the chocolate whey powder from Walmart, mixed with skim milk and if needed, add some fit anf lite Dannon yogurt before blending. I was banded the end of August and still have the shakes on a daily basis.

Congrats on the approval! I agree with the low carb and if you can not stick to just three meals add in sugar free jello and lots of water!
