I Have A Surgery Date!!!

I have a surgery date of May 8th @ 9:30am. I have to be at the hospital @ 7:30am. My husband and son are going to be there with me. My son is insisting on being there, so I have to call him off school that day. He is worried about his mama  I keep assuring him I'll be fine, but he still wants to be there. I will be staying that night in the hospital because I requested it through my doctor. I live an hour and a half away from the hospital. I want a nurse and a doc to be just down the hall in case of anything happening because of my sleep apnea and asthma. That and I don't do really well with the anesthesia. I explained to doc and nurse that it's not that I don't trust them or think that they will do a bad job, I just want to know I'm gonna be safe; those first 24 hrs it's gonna be long.

I'm nervous about having to do the pre-op diet. I didn't realize til I made my new tickers how close my surgery REALLY IS!!! HOLY SHIT!!! Well I'll keep you posted on how I'm doing on the pre-op diet.

Well I've been on lapbandtalk for quite a few months now, but ty! I just havent been on here lately to chat and post. I am having my surgery done at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, KS with Dr. Steward of Tallgrass in Topeka. He is handsome and very nice and straight forward and non-judging. I'm so excited.
