How did YOU do staying on plan today?

I failed misreably!! I need to figure out what is going on with me. I have been having cravings like mad lately and nothing will make them go away until I jsut give in! That's not good at all. Looks like it's time to drag out the journal and see what is lurking in the back of my mind making me nuts!

I WILL do better tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kathy, You're not banded yet. I know you're trying to practice everything you'll need after surgery, the band will help you later, even if it's just a little help in the beginning.

I know it's a head game, but most of us struggled before being banded just like you and look how many of us are better now with our bands than before our bands!

Do your best. Prebanding, even not gaining is a big step!

You'll do better when you get your "tool" to help you.

Stop beating yourself up. You are a unique and wonderful individual. Everyone has those days. Don't let a bad day make you crazy. It happens and will probably happen again. Forgive yourself and move on. If none of us had food issues this wouldn't happen. People without food obsessions over do it and don't beat themselves up. This is just food. It does not define you. You are looking in the right direction for a tool to help you control overeating. If we could just stop it on our own we would. You will be ok. I have felt the same many times but I refuse to anymore. I have read several of your posts and you are always supportive and positive and helpful. Be that way for yourself, talk to yourself the way you would talk to someone struggling as you are today. You have a lot to offer and so what if you had a bad food day, let it go. Take care of yourself.

we ALLLL did that...you are so close....you are still in your "last meal" momentum. I gained 20 lbs from the time I started the process in October to getting banded on 3/12. You'll do just fine....tomorrow is another day. Don't cry about what you can't change!!!! you just make it worst

sharon;)

Ditto with everyone else! You are still in the practice stages, m'dear, with no tool to assist you--

Once I got into the three-week-liquid diet pre op stage, I knew I had to change my life--but before then is a blur. I watched, but to no avail.

Even banded, you will have those days  I was just thinking what a wretched food day I put in today (looking forward to another fill in ten days!) and you know what?

When I have a day like today, I just thank the Lord that tomorrow morning is a fresh new start.......!

Thank you all so much! I know I am just in the "practice phase" for the band, but I still can't help but get frustrated sometimes. All of your encouraging words mean a lot.

I really did start this thread to see how everyone did today, not just so I could whine. There is another thread about staying on plan today, so I tought this one could kinda be for the end of the day for celebration or confession.

So, how did YOU do today?
