Itchy...

Couldn't really find a thread on this. I am 2 1/2 weeks out, and a few of my incisions are SUPER itchy. And it's like a deep itch..if that makes sense. :confused2: My guess would be it's just in the healing process, but I just wanted opinions from everyone else who has been banded. Thanks my band peeps!

I have been super itchy as well. I'm 13 days out, so almost 2 weeks. But yeah, mine are itchy and i just have to itch around them, but dangit if I don't want to just claw away at them occasionally.

We were banded around the same time and I have the itchies too! It is not as bad now that I have all of the excess glue off, but to find relief I just gently rub over my shirt. The friction eases the pain just a little bit!

I was just banded yesterday and my incisions are super itchy today! Plus I have some pain and I think I am starting with the gas pains! It's been one long day! lol I'm just happy to be back at home, although it was kinda nice be helped out so much at the hospital!

I was banded on 03/28 and noticed my incinsions starting to itch a little right afterwords, however as time passed it got worse until I finally called my doctor on day 9 post-op. They told me to drop by the office so they could take a look. It turned out that I was allergic to the glue on the steri strips. The nurse removed the remaining ones and instructed me to buy some Hydracortisone and to take liquid benedryl. Boy did it help. I'm now 3 weeks post op tommorrow and everything is good, no more itching
