What do you do with your old clothes??

I have 5 huge yard trash bags full of clothes that are too big for me. Sadly, some still have the tags on them.

Gave to 4 bags to a friend and donated about 10 bags to charity

you might check if they are any women's shelters in your area , like for abused women , it might help someone get a job to get back on their feet.

Hi Tulip:

We have a clothing exchange through our support group. I also have donated my clothes in the past. (I haven't lost enough weight yet to give any of my current clothes away!)

You could also do the garage sale thing. (Not for me, but if you have new stuff, it might be worth it)

We talked about doing a clothes swap on here - but it never got off the ground. You could post the sizes they are and the area you are in - then if someone wants them they could pay for shipping and a small fee for your trouble. I plan to do that when I get to that point. :-)

I dropped mines off at one of those clothes donation drop boxes in Walmart Shopping Center I think its goodwill, I get rid of mine as soon as I can take them off without unbutton the. it feel great was 24w now tight 16 goal a lose 10

sorry loose 10 is my goal

Over the past years I have donated a bunch of clothes to a local women's transition house - perhaps they have something like that in your area.

My surgeon has a local support group that meets monthly. I take my clothes with me to group and offer them up to people who are in different stages.

you could take them to a womens consignment store and either use the credit to get clothes from there in your NEW  size, or you can take the cash from them. I plan to do that while I'm losing, just keep swaping out the clothes that become too big for me for smaller ones with my credit, and then when I'm at goal, I'll go shopping at my fav stores!

We have a monthly support group meeting at a local mall and I take mine to give away there. I just packed up my box for tomorrow tonight... it's kind of freaking me out to have all of my "old faithfuls" going away. There are still some in my closet I can't bear to part with... but I'm working on it :-)

I sold a bunch of jeans and khaki pants I had on ebay as two seperate lots

Made a little bit of extra cash while clearing out the closet
