Funky Feeling in Chest

Just wanted to toss this out there. Yesterday, I probably ate something I shouldn't have (chicken salad with some bread) and all today I've had this funny feeling in my chest, kind of like indigestion, or gas - not chest pain as in heart attack, but just feels funny.

Does anyone know what it feels like if the band slips? I guess I am just paranoid that's whats happened. I have been able to eat Soup and drink liquids.

Any input would be great!

Maybe you have chicken stuck???? I know of a women that had steak after 4 weeks being banded, against Dr. Orders!! and the steak got STUCK!! They had to empty the band completely, until she healed... I guess it caused an irritation.... Please call your Dr... Rather be safe then sorry!!

In my experience, that's the feeling i will get if i eat too fast, or eat something I'm not meant to.

It will also feel like that if i eat too much - not to the point where i feel like i'm going to vomit, but just a sort of tightness in the chest.

Don't worry, your band has not slipped. Symptoms of a slipped band are CONSTANT vomiting, not even being able to keep Water down, and extreme pain.

But try not to cheat again - don't risk jeopardizing the effectiveness of the band!

I get that if I irritate my band. Sounds like you are doing the right thing and having some liquids to avoid irritating it further. The feeling should pass in a couple days.

thanks all for the advice and input. Took some gas-x strips and tylenol when I got home, got a good night's rest and seems like its much better today, I think its gas and irritation, so sticking to "easy" stuff today. This is so new to many of us, I guess we all have our freak out moments!
